Univision to Air 2010 FIFA World Cup in HD

Univision will broadcast all the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa games in HD.
The HD broadcasts will be featured across Univision Network, TeleFutura, the Univision and TeleFutura Station Group and on video-on-demand.
The 2006 FIFA World Cup, which was broadcast on Univision, TeleFutura and Galavisión, garnered an estimated 50 million viewers.
“Univision is delivering unprecedented World Cup coverage of the 64 matches and making these available in HD across our networks and platforms, including through VOD,” Ray Rodriguez, president-chief operating officer of Univision Communications, said in a statement. “For 31 days, Univision and TeleFutura, Univision Interactive Media and our VOD services will be transformed into the U.S. ‘World Cup Destination,’ allowing U.S. audiences to have first-of-its-kind access to the biggest sporting event in the world.”

  7. That aside, I agree with most of the rest from the l ist. And believe that 2009 really did function some top-notch function. (meredith tops my personal l ist.)I like work that can make me jealous as being a designer!

  10. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
