In recent years, health journalists have struggled to find their place in the ever changing newsroom. In 2012, it has been politics and court cases that have thrust health journalism into the forefront within the breaking news realm. From the Supreme Court to overall medical advances to women’s health rights, to the other various issues we mention in our headline, above, health journalists have answered the call to action this year.

Challenges facing journalists who cover these and other topics and much more are examined in the April issue of NewsPro.
