Press release, Sept. 15, 2016:

Food Network, HGTV and Travel Channel’s biggest stars team up for the ultimate Halloween adventure right in the heart of Sin City. Premiering Saturday, October 8 at 8 p.m. ET, the special one-hour competition All-Star Halloween Spectacular, presented by IKEA, will be simulcast on Food Network, HGTV and Travel Channel.

Hosted by Egypt Sherrod of HGTV’s Flipping Virgins, network stars join forces to create life-sized haunted houses and extravagant desserts at the LINQ Hotel on the Las Vegas strip. Tia Mowry of Food Network’s Food Network Star Kids and HGTV Property Brother Drew Scott go head-to-head against Duff Goldman of Food Network’s Worst Bakers in America and HGTV Property Brother Jonathan Scott in an epic holiday throw down to see who can create the most frightful haunted house in just 72 hours. Travel Channel’s Adam Richman, host of Secret Eats with Adam Richman, joins the fun to aid both teams.

“Knowing this line-up of stars, there are sure to be shenanigans and surprises in this fun-filled holiday special,” said Kathleen Finch, chief programming, content and brand officer for Scripps Networks Interactive. “Not only will our audiences be amazed and entertained, they’ll pick up some Halloween entertaining tips, too.”

The teams construct the awe-inspiring houses full of over-the-top special effects, tasty treats and freaky concoctions, then invite hotel patrons to tour the structures and cast a vote to determine the most show-stopping abode. On behalf of the winning team, $10,000 will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“The ‘All-Star Halloween Spectacular’ is a great example of how we’re delivering for IKEA, a major retailer that wants to reach the most desirable consumers leading up to the holidays,” said John Dailey, senior vice president of corporate ad sales for Scripps Networks Interactive. “Like last year’s ‘All-Star Gingerbread Build,’ this special showcases the power of our combined networks and talent.”

Viewers can catch encores of the special on Cooking Channel and Great American Country on October 15 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and on DIY Network on October 18 at 8 a.m. ET.

All-Star Halloween Spectacular is produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment.
