CBS Corp. Reaches Agreement With AT&T to Join DirecTV Now Live TV Service

AT&T and CBS Corporation today announced a new agreement to carry America’s most watched broadcast network, CBS, as well as SHOWTIME, The CW, Pop and CBS Sports Network, on AT&T’s DIRECTV NOW live TV streaming service. All networks in the deal will be available to stream live, with much of their programming available on demand as well. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

This agreement fits perfectly into our strategy to deliver industry-leading content to viewers across multiple platforms and screens.”

DIRECTV NOW will feature live streaming of CBS-owned local television stations in many of the largest U.S. markets at launch. All affiliates of CBS and The CW will have the opportunity to participate going forward as well.

With the addition of CBS, DIRECTV NOW subscribers will have live and on-demand access to popular programming, including THE BIG BANG THEORY, television’s #1 scripted series recently renewed for two more seasons, and NCIS, broadcast television’s #1 drama. Subscribers will also be able to stream new hits like BULL, last season’s #1 new drama, and KEVIN CAN WAIT, the #1 new comedy.

CBS’ preeminent sports programming, including THE NFL ON CBS (all pre-season, regular and post-season games broadcast on CBS), THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, the NCAA DIVISION I MEN’S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP, SEC ON CBS and the most comprehensive golf schedule in network television, and all CBS News programs, including 60 MINUTES, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary and five decades as television’s #1 news program, will be offered on the live service. Additionally, subscribers will have access to specials, major annual live events such as The GRAMMYs®, and late night programming like THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT, television’s #1 late night show, and THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN.

DIRECTV NOW subscribers will also be able to enjoy The CW’s popular line-up of primetime series, including the superhero action of ARROW and THE FLASH, the critically acclaimed, award-winning comedies JANE THE VIRGIN and CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, its breakout hit RIVERDALE and many more.

In addition, SHOWTIME will be offered as an add-on, premium subscription service to those customers who subscribe to DIRECTV NOW. At launch, consumers will have access to the SHOWTIME East feed and thousands of hours of programming on demand, with entire seasons of award-winning original series, including HOMELAND, BILLIONS, TWIN PEAKS, RAY DONOVAN, THE AFFAIR and SHAMELESS, along with hundreds of hit movies, comedy specials, provocative documentaries and hard-hitting sports programming such as INSIDE THE NFL, SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING®, and much more.

Pop, one of the fastest growing cable networks, features premium content and original scripted series, including breakout show SCHITT’S CREEK.

DIRECTV NOW gives users nation-wide access to more than 120 channels, including live sports, more than 25,000 on demand titles, premium channels, popular shows and hit movies. Within minutes of signing up, you can stream premium live content over a U.S. wired or wireless internet connection on a variety of devices, all without the limits of boxes, annual contracts or credit checks.
