Press release from Comedy Central, Oct. 24, 2017:

Comedian Jeff Ross packs his bags and makes a dash for the border in the upcoming one-hour special Jeff Ross Roasts the Border: Live from Brownsville, Texas. In this part stand-up, part documentary special, Ross unpacks, breaks down and tears apart our simmering immigration debate through stand-up, roasting and field segments from the US / Mexican border. Jeff Ross Roasts the Border: Live from Brownsville, Texas premieres on Thursday, November 16 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

“When I was growing up America welcomed immigrants. Now suddenly we’re a snobby club with a douchey doorman,” said Ross. “I started wondering how the people who actually live along the border feel about America’s changing immigration policies, so I went to Brownsville and learned a lot.”

Jeff Ross Roasts the Border: Live from Brownsville, Texas follows Ross as he travels from Brownsville, Texas into Matamoros, Mexico to interview and roast the people living on the front lines of the immigration crisis. This provocative and compelling comedy special takes Ross on a journey where he meets everyone from undocumented immigrants, law enforcement agents, DREAMers, “coyotes,” and Trump supporters – even coming across a pregnant woman fleeing the violence in El Salvador, stopped at the U.S. border after crossing the Rio Grande river in a raft. What Ross learns is everyone has something at stake when it comes to immigration, and his high school Spanish isn’t as good as he thought it was.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, cc.com and the CC App will feature preview clips from the special. The full special Jeff Ross Roasts the Border: Live from Brownsville, Texas will be available in the CC App and on CC.com, and the extended and uncensored version will be available for digital download, on Friday, November 17.
