Mike Napodano has been named senior vice president and chief technology officer for Disney|ABC Television Group, it was announced today by Bruce Rosenblum, president, Business Operations, to whom he will report.
In this role, Mr. Napodano will serve as the most senior member of Disney|ABC’s technology team and will oversee the Group’s long-term technology vision and implementation. Additionally, he will be responsible for media operations and distribution, network operations and engineering, IT strategy and operations, and an integrated enterprise-wide consumer data platform. This includes a focus on the use, optimization and replenishment of current technology solutions, as well as an expanded responsibility for forward-looking digital technologies. He will also supervise the design and management of an enterprise-wide data platform for leveraging consumer data and driving business insights.

Mr. Napodano joins Disney|ABC from Channel Media Solutions (CMS) where he served as president & co-managing partner. He has over 20 years of technology leadership experience across the media, financial and banking industries.
Prior to joining CMS, he spent 13 years at NBCUniversal, serving in numerous roles including as chief information officer where he was responsible for all Ad Sales technology including: linear and digital ad sales and traffic systems, revenue management products, audience data products, linear and digital research and audience measurement, and digital data products. In addition, Mr. Napodano also led the enterprise-wide data and analytics center of excellence, which included data science, data engineering, big data, data warehousing, integration services and product development. He has overseen many large-scale initiatives in his Media Technology career, including the delivery of the Commercial Innovation program for NBCUniversal. This was a more than five-year transformation of NBCUniversal’s ad sales technology landscape.
Prior to joining NBC Universal in 2004, he held technology positions at U.S. Wireless Data and at Phoenix Investment Partners.
Mr. Napodano graduated from St. John’s University with a degree in computer science.
