Abby Huntsman Named Co-Host of ABC’s ‘The View,’ Joining Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Meghan McCain

Celebrating its most-watched season in four years, “The View” returns for Season 22 with a new co-host, the hottest topics, headline-making conversations, politics, pop culture, celebrity guests and newsmakers beginning TUESDAY, SEPT. 4 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. EDT). Abby Huntsman has been named co-host joining the panel of smart and talented women led by moderator Whoopi Goldberg with Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Meghan McCain. Huntsman joins ABC’s award-winning talk show from Fox News where she most recently served as an anchor and host of “Fox & Friends Weekend.” Plus Joy Behar, who is an original cast member, celebrates her 20th season on “The View.”

“The View” is kicking off the first month of Season 22 with an incredible lineup of guests including Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States Sonia Sotomayor, former Secretary of State John Kerry, Senator Charles Schumer, Stormy Daniels, Wendy Williams, Kristen Bell, America Ferrera, Ricky Gervais, Taraji P. Henson, Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T, Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin and Academy? Award winners Emma Thompson, Sally Field and Jane Fonda.

Scheduled guests for PREMIERE WEEK of SEPT. 3-7 are as follows (subject to change):

Monday, Sept. 3 – (OAD 8/2/18) Sara Haines’ final show as co-host; Ewan McGregor (“Christopher Robin”)

Tuesday, Sept. 4 – “The View” kicks off Season 22 with Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States Sonia Sotomayor

Wednesday, Sept. 5 – Former Secretary of State John Kerry (author, “Every Day is Extra”)

Thursday, Sept. 6 – A Day of Hot Topics

Friday, Sept. 7 – Wendy Williams (“The Wendy Williams Show”)

“The View” received the 2018 Gracie Award from the Alliance for Women in Media and was inducted into the 2017 class of the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame. The show was also recognized with four Daytime Emmy(R) nominations including Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host plus nominations for a GLAAD Media Award and NAACP Image Award. For the 2017-18 season, “The View” posted gains compared to the previous season in Total Viewers (+1% – 2.856 million vs. 2.815 million), marking its most-watched season in 4 years – since the 2013-2014 season.

“The View” (11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. EDT) is the place to be heard with live broadcasts five days a week.
