Press release from CBS, Sept. 25, 2018:

Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award-nominated writer/producers Robert and Michelle King, co-creators of THE GOOD FIGHT as well as the previous CBS hit “The Good Wife,” have renewed their overall production pact through their King Size Productions banner with CBS Television Studios for an additional three years. Under the agreement, CBS will have exclusive rights to produce television content created and developed by the Kings across all platforms. Liz Glotzer serves as president of King Size Productions and will executive produce all of their upcoming series.

The Kings, who have been at CBS Television Studios since 2009, will continue to guide the highly successful THE GOOD FIGHT, a series that helped launch the growing CBS All Access streaming service. King Size’s newest production is YOUR HONOR, written and executive produced by Peter Moffat, and has already been picked up to series by SHOWTIME. They also have EVIL in development for CBS. A series about the battle between science and religion, EVIL focuses on a skeptical female clinical psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possession and other extraordinary occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work. Additionally, they are developing GIRLS WITH GUNS, also written by the Kings, for CBS All Access in association with Scott Free Productions.

“Robert and Michelle are two of the finest persons I have ever had the privilege of working with,” said David Stapf, President, CBS Television Studios. “Their brilliant writing and ability to create distinctive, successful television is only surpassed by their quality as people. Everyone at CBS TV Studios is thrilled and very proud to be working with them, Liz and their team for many more years.”

“We couldn’t be more delighted to continue our relationship with the fantastic people at CBS Studios,” said Robert and Michelle. “David Stapf has assembled a team of some of the smartest, most thoughtful and supportive executives in the business. Working with them is a dream.”

The Kings have been creative collaborators for 20 years and married for over 30 years. In addition to THE GOOD FIGHT and “The Good Wife,” in 2016 they created “BrainDead,” starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Aaron Tveit and Danny Pino, and the 2006 drama “In Justice,” starring Kyle MacLachlan and Jason O’Mara.

Prior to their work in television, Michelle King worked in development at various studios and production companies, while Robert wrote a dozen produced feature films, including the mountain-climbing action feature “Vertical Limit,” starring Chris O’Donnell, and “Red Corner,” starring Richard Gere.

The Kings have been honored by their peers from the American Film Institute, the Writers Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, as well as the Television Critics Association. In addition to creative recognition, the Kings were awarded the Sidney Lumet Award for Integrity in Entertainment, the Humanitas Prize and the prestigious Peabody Award.

Robert and Michelle King are represented by Paradigm and Jon Moonves, Jeff Finkelstein and Jean Tanaka at Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein & Lezcano.
