Moyer Named Scripps Networks International President

Scripps Networks has tapped Greg Moyer for the newly created position of president of Scripps Networks International.
Mr. Moyer, whose appointment is effective Jan. 5, will oversee global business opportunities for Scripps, which has syndicated its branded programming to more than 170 countries. He will serve on the company’s executive committee and its diversity committee.
Mr. Moyer most recently was general manager of Rainbow Media Holdings’ Voom HD Networks. He also has served as president, chief editorial and creative officer at Discovery Communications.
“The rise of Asia and other emerging economies offers remarkable opportunities to create culturally relevant lifestyle networks in many places around the world,” John Lansing, president of Scripps Networks, said in a statement. “Greg has a lengthy and impressive track record of launching and growing successful international media businesses. We are confident that under his leadership, Scripps Networks will take advantage of tremendous untapped promise on the international front.”
