UPDATE: Early numbers from Nielsen show Williams’ White House special won its 9 p.m. hour, with a 2.6/7 in adults 18-49. That was the second highest-rated show of the night, behind only NBC’s "Law & Order: SVU." Among all viewers, the Obama special attracted a little over 9 million pairs of eyeballs.

It was a bow. I’m British, and if I ever had to bow to the Queen (heaven forbid) a head bow like that would do the trick just fine. It IS a terrible thing for Brian Williams to have done. Americans are proud that they call their Presidents “Mister”, with no special title. It’s an egalitarian society where no one person ever bows to another. Sorry Brian, I’m a fan but you are so busted!
I also saw a video from Anderson Cooper bowing on one knee after Obama was elected, this took place in the white house, but now I can’t find it, does anyone have this video????
