Comcast is testing its so-called wideband networks, which would more than double the speed of its cable modems, Multichannel News reports. Comcast plans to offer the service to 20% of its subscribers by the end of the year. The top cable operator also sued Federal Communications Commission over the regulator’s decision to prevent any cable company’s market share of U.S. cable customers from exceeding 30%, Multichannel News says.
