The Discovery Channel ordered one pilot about the Iditarod dog-sledding competition and another featuring Pennsylvania coal miners, the Hollywood Reporter says. Both “Iditarod” and “Coal” will be produced by Thom Beers’ Original Productions, which produces the Discovery hit “Deadliest Catch,” the newspaper says.
