Blockbuster will announce this month that it’s developing a set-top box that would allow video streaming directly to television sets, the Hollywood Reporter says. The device from Blockbuster, whose spokeswoman declined to comment, would build upon the Movielink service the company bought last year that allows movie downloads to personal computers, the newspaper reports.

Oops! With today’s hardware being tomorrow’s landfill, this set-top box scenario is financially DOA. Just what I want, ANOTHER wired box atop my BluRay player atop my VCR/DVD recorder [still love those terrific 8 hr. VHS tapes] atop my HD DVR/cable box next to my Wii! Got enough wires & plugs to power the NYC Subway System!
So here’s the deal, Blockbuster, pay ME $25.00@ mo. per box and I’ll consider it!
