Nielsen Says Strike Didn’t Free the Couch

The Writers Guild of America strike didn’t cut down the amount of time Americans spent in front of the television, the Hollywood Reporter says, citing a Nielsen survey. An increase in cable and video on demand made up for the drop in primetime viewing, the newspaper reports, citing the Nielsen poll.
