Oprah Winfrey is developing a talk show featuring Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Columbia University professor who appears regularly on Ms. Winfrey’s show, for a possible 2009 debut, Broadcasting & Cable reports. Ms. Winfrey’s Harpo Productions met last month with potential distributors about following a development path similar to “The Oprah Winfrey Show” spinoff “Dr. Phil,” Broadcasting & Cable says.
