SAG Members Split Over Voting Rights

Apr 3, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Screen Actors Guild members are split over which actors should get voting rights in contract negotiations with studios, the Wall Street Journal reports. Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon are among the 1,400 actors who’ve signed a petition favoring limiting voting eligibility to actors who work a minimum amount each year, while guild leadership wants to keep voting open to all 120,000 members, the Journal says.
