SAG Signs Pact with Indie Producers

The Screen Actors Guild has begun signing interim contracts with independent film producers to put some pressure on the major studios, Daily Variety reports. The deals—the first of which is with the Film Department–would allow actors to complete work on select projects in the event the union goes on strike. The SAG began negotiating with the studios earlier this week.
