Trade Group Spends $9 Mil on Lobbying

The National Association of Broadcasters, spent almost $9 million last year lobbying issues related to cable and digital TV and satellite radio, the Associated Press reports. The trade group, representing more than 8,300 free local television and radio stations, has argued for cable operators to carry both analog and digital signals for three years after next year’s switchover to digital broadcasts, among other items, the wire service says.
