  1. Great news, and I have to say about time! Here’s hoping that Sci-Fi is one of them, it’s time to watch Galactica in HD on TWC!

  2. What is NOT said is that all the additional HD channels are going into 3 of the 5 boroughs, but NOT in the Bronx or Manhattan. By the end of this month, there will be 50 HD channels (not pay extra) everywhere, EXCEPT Manhattan & Bronx get only 18.
Oh, and the areas getting 50 HD channels over the 18 also can take a 10% discount on their charges for doing a 2 year commitment. Such a deal is NOT available to those who get substantially less service from them.
Why are they sticking it big time to Manhattan? Simple… having most of the tall buildings in the city, most residents of Manhattan have NO CHOICE. Most can NOT use a satellite dish, most can NOT use an antenna for OTA. For those residents, it’s pay the piper or go without any TV service at all.
