AFTRA Talks Hung Up on Clips

May 22, 2008  •  Post A Comment

The American Federation of Television & Radio Artists may not agree to a new primetime contract with the studios by the time the present one expires on June 30 because it continues to ask for actors to have to give consent for clips to be shown online, Daily Variety reports. The Screen Actors Guild, whose contract also expires June 30, has taken a similar stance with the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers, the newspaper says.

  1. I think this demand about consent by actors for clips is ridiculous. Nevertheless, it would be easier for all concerned for theb producers to give them this small concessiojn to get these negotiations wrapped up. Enough damage was done already by the WGA strike.

  2. I’d like to tell you that I’m an IT professional and your site doesn’t validate for xHTML.
