Cable Show Reveals Web, Ad Projects

May 19, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Cable operators at the NCTA’s Cable Show ’08 said they “are playing offense,” continuing to give consumers more choice, Broadcasting & Cable reports. Several cable operators have joined with Web companies to build a national wireless broadband network that will allow cable companies to offer customers a quadruple bundle, the newspaper says. Other mentioned initiatives included tru2way, which would allow for Web-style interactive cable TV, and Project Canoe, which presumably will deliver unsold local cable ads through an automated system, the newspaper notes.
