Cable news networks briefly covered Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s primary victory in Kentucky before moving on to other news, signaling that news channels are accepting Barack Obama as the presumptive party winner, the New York Times reports. CNN and Fox News Channel switched to covering Obama and Republican candidate John McCain while MSNBC anchors implied that the Democratic race was over, the newspaper says.
