Comcast plans to divest in 46 smaller cable systems totaling about 400,000 subscribers in markets such as Maine and Kentucky, Multichannel News reports, citing people familiar with the process it didn’t identify. Comcast, which didn’t comment, reportedly hired New York banker Waller Capital to help with the sell off. In recent deals, cable systems have fetched as much as $4,000 per subscriber, Multichannel says.
