The CW is near an agreement to sell its Sunday primetime block to an advertising conglomerate, which would be able to develop programming and sell ad time, Daily Variety reports. The network is divesting the 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday block because of low ratings, the newspaper says, and a leading analyst forecast that its upfront sale would be down 15%. Last year, the CW scheduled “CW Now” on Sunday nights, a show with no commercials produced by media buyer MediaVest, which placed its clients within the content.
