thePlatform to Publish PBS Video

PBS will use Comcast’s thePlatform to publish online video on PBS.org and local PBS station Web sites, Multichannel News reports. The broadband video company also will allow local PBS stations to publish locally produced content to their Web sites and disseminate it to other PBS stations, the newspaper says. Other users of thePlatform include the BBC, CBS’ College Sports TV, CNBC, Comcast, Corus Entertainment, Gannett, Helio, HIT Entertainment, PBS Kids Sprout, Sony BMG, Hearst, Verizon Wireless and Vongo, the newspaper notes.
