Verizon Ends Analog FiOS TV Service in Jersey

Verizon Communications will stop transmitting analog signals of local broadcasts to FiOS TV subscribers in New Jersey on June 2, Multichannel News reports. The proposed shutoff is part of Verizon’s plan to transition to digital television before the Feb. 17 deadline, which would allow the company to receive a temporary waiver from the FCC on its ban on set-tops with integrated security, the newspaper reports.
