Viacom Won’t Bid on Weather

Viacom Chief Executive Office Philippe Dauman said the company won’t bid on the Weather Channel and will focus on growing its own units, Multichannel News reports. Time Warner and NBC Universal were among bidders that may have bid as much as $4 billion for the network, Multichannel News says. Mr. Dauman also said he expected ad sales growth to slow in the second quarter at Viacom.
