Time Warner unit Warner Bros. will release more of its films for video-on-demand the same day as DVD releases, the New York Times says. The studio will be able to cut manufacturing and distribution costs by moving video-on-demand titles to the so-called “day and date’ of the DVD release, the newspaper says.
