A federal judge ruled that a class-action lawsuit by cable and satellite subscribers seeking to force companies to offer a la carte programming may proceed, Multichannel News reports. The lawsuit claims that video distributors and programmers harm consumers and make them overpay by forcing them to buy bundled programming, some of which they don’t want to watch, the newspaper says.
