AFTRA Nixes SAG’s Debate Invite

Jun 17, 2008  •  Post A Comment

SAG President Alan Rosenberg proposed that SAG and AFTRA hold a debate to discuss AFTRA’s brokered contract with the AMPTP, the Hollywood Reporter says. AFTRA declined the invite and urged SAG to concentrate on its own negotiations, the newspaper says. Rosenberg hoped that a joint membership meeting might clear up some of the misunderstandings between the two sides on contract issues, the newspaper notes.
