DTV Education Gets a Hand From Churches

Jun 3, 2008  •  Post A Comment

The National Association of Broadcasters is teaming with the National Black Church Initiative to educate people about the upcoming digital television switch, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The two groups plan to put DTV-education materials on every church bulletin, hand out converter-box coupon applications, train church volunteers to aid the elderly and disabled and encourage ministers talk to their congregations about DTV transition, the newspaper says. The NAB has plans for a similar outreach to Hispanic churches, the newspaper notes.
