Fox News Channel is in prime position to take the top spot among the cable news networks in viewers for the second quarter, despite big gains by its rivals during coverage of the presidential primaries, the Los Angeles Times reports. According to early Nielsen numbers, Fox drew an average 346,000 viewers during prime time among viewers aged 25 to 54, the key demographic for advertisers in news, the paper says.
