Indie Cable Nets Band Together

Jun 6, 2008  •  Post A Comment

About a dozen independent cable networks, including WealthTV, HDNet, the Hispanic Information & Telecommunications Network and the Horror Channel, have joined to form the National Association of Independent Networks, Multichannel News reports. The group is asking the Federal Communications Commission to create reforms curbing program-tying practices, as well as a more competitive television programming environment, the newspaper says. The group plans to hire a full-time president to be based in Washington, D.C., the newspaper notes.
