MSNBC announced it will create a new company, MSNBC Films, which will focus on creating and funding feature-length documentary films, the Hollywood Reporter says. The new company will help filmmakers in a variety of ways, including development, funding and production, usually in exchange for first dibs on airing rights, THR reports.
