Murdoch Eyes Pay TV in Europe

Jun 27, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Rupert Murdoch is looking to get News Corp. into the European pay-TV game, the Wall Street Journal reports. News Corp. is considering making offers to purchase Germany’s Premiere AG and Spain’s Digital+, a move analysts say would cost about $6.3 billion, the WSJ says, citing unnamed sources. The move would expand the responsibilities of the media mogul’s son James, who runs the company’s European and Asian operations. The European Commission has already allowed News Corp. to buy a 25% stake in Premiere, Daily Variety reports.

  1. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

  2. Nice blog here! Also your website loads up fast! What host are you using? I wish my website loaded up as fast as yours lol
