Nielsen Replaces Phone Recruit System

Jun 19, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Nielsen will scrap the “random digital dial” telephone system that it uses to recruit paper diary ratings samples, Media Daily News reports. Nielsen will use addresses of prospective panel households instead starting in November, the Web site says. The move comes in response to the decline of landline phones and the increase in phones not tied to the geographical area in which the user lives, the Web site notes.
