USA Network’s new original series “In Plain Sight” is off to a solid start in the ratings, USA Today reports. The show follows a trend of series that feature quirky law women on cable, the paper says, but executive producer David Maples notes the pilot was written before TNT’s “The Closer” and the rest were on the air. “It really shouldn’t matter,” he added. “The show either works and holds an audience or it doesn’t.”
