Reality shows such as Bravo’s “Step It Up & Dance” and MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” have popularized forms of street dancing that had been known primarily by its performers, the New York Times reports. Longtime street-dancing studios in New York and Los Angeles are teaching techniques more thoroughly because of the boost in attention to such moves due to the shows’ popularity, the newspaper says.
