The Screen Actors Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers resumed negotiations on Tuesday following a three-day weekend, the Hollywood Reporter says. Few observers see a deal as imminent, as both sides are standing firm on the issue of increased DVD residuals, the newspaper says. The other actors union, AFTRA, as well as the writers and directors unions, all took DVD residuals off the table in order to move forward with their negotiations, the newspaper notes.
