SAG Wants to Block AFTRA Deal

Jun 5, 2008  •  Post A Comment

SAG President Alan Rosenberg and National Executive Director Doug Allen will urge SAG members who are also AFTRA members to reject ratification of the agreement made by AFTRA and the producers, the Hollywood Reporter says. SAG has not made clear what parts of AFTRA’s deal it does not find satisfactory, but an unnamed actor said the wage hikes were not high enough, the newspaper says. Of SAG’s 120,000 members, 44,000 are also AFTRA members, the newspaper notes.
