Satellite providers, the largest category of alternative delivery systems, continue to take away from cable’s market share, reaching 28.1% of TV households in May, Multichannel News reports. The number of TV households with satellite increased to 27.7%, while cable households remained steady at 61.2%, the newspaper says. Alternative delivery systems to wired cable represent 31.7% of subscription TV customers, the newspaper notes.
