Owners of Sony Bravia TV sets will get the first look at Sony’s new film starring Will Smith, “Hancock,” after its theatrical run is over, the New York Times reports. The move is part of Sony CEO Howard Stringer’s strategy of trying to get the company’s content and hardware to work together in more profitable ways, the paper says. Getting movies by plugging the TV into the Internet marks a change in how content is distributed and provides new competition for traditional programming.
