Sponsored Shows Making a Comeback

Meow Mix cat food is underwriting a new game show for GSN that tests how well cat owners understand their pets, the New York Times reports. The branded entertainment represents a return to when television programs were sponsored by products, which would be featured during the program, the newspaper says. Similarly, Dos Equis beer will sponsor an original series on Mojo HD, TVWeek reports.
