Upfront Market Making Progress

Buyers indicate the upfront market is 20%-50% completed and healthier than expected, with marketers investing in proven programs and outlets, AdAge reports. The CW faces an uncertain upfront market and fleeing dollars to cable and other broadcast outlets, but a source claimed the network was seeing “strong” demand for “Gossip Girl,” “90210” and “America’s Next Top Model,” the newspaper says. Among the top advertising categories this upfront are movie studios, pharmaceutical makers and auto makers, the newspaper notes.
