BET President of Entertainment Reginald Hudlin has raised concerns about whether his greenlight of a series based on the “Black Panther” comic, for which he is a writer, is an ethical conflict, the Los Angeles Times reports. Hudlin, who is listed as an executive producer on the series and receives story credit for the six episodes ordered so far, stands to benefit financially from the series while fulfilling his duties as network chief, the newspaper says. Hudlin declined to comment about the matter, but the situation does present a potential conflict of interest similar to when Reveille’s Ben Silverman joined NBC Universal, the newspaper notes.
