Dauman Re-Crowns Content King

Viacom Chief Executive Philippe Dauman said MTV series “The Hills” was a prime example of a show that’s benefited from being marketed on multiple media sources, Web site PaidContent reports. Dauman, at a conference Tuesday in Half Moon Bay, Calif., said, “There’s never been a better time to reach customers” because of the Internet and mobile networks, the Web site says. He re-asserted the media company mantra that good content is not a commodity.
