Dish Network plans to increase its high definition network lineup to 150 channels by the end of the year, Multichannel News reports. Earlier this week DirecTV said it will up its HD offerings to 130 in the next month, while Verizon’s FiOS paid TV service will offer 100 HD stations to customers in the New York City area. Dish Network’s original goal was 100 HD channels by the end of the year. It will surpass that number this week with the addition of 17 more channels, the trade paper says.
