It’s Showtime! Weinsteins Wheel and Deal

Showtime has signed an exclusive seven-year picture distribution deal with the Weinstein Co., filling a void that would have been left by the end of the premium cable network’s relationship with Paramount, TVWeek.com reports. Showtime declined to renew its contract with Paramount, which led that studio to team up with Lionsgate, MGM and Viacom to form a new competing network in 2009.
