Nevo, the Mysterious Media Investor

Vevi Nevo, an Israeli investor, is said to be the largest individual shareholder of Time Warner and vacations on Rupert Murdoch’s sailboat, but few of his powerful friends in the media business know much about his background, the New York Times says. The paper says Nevo exerts a subtle influence on the industry, for example, pushing a three-way partnership among Yahoo, Microsoft and AOL as a way to resolve the takeover battle for Yahoo.
