WWE plans to tone its TV properties, “Raw” and “Friday Night Smackdown” down a notch in order to get TV-PG ratings, Daily Variety says. While “Smackdown,” which will make its jump from The CW to MyNetwork TV in the fall, already has that rating, USA Network’s “Raw” has been TV-14. The company says it will focus on the characters and storyline rather than the physical violence in order to get that rating, the trade paper says.
